The game made popular during road trips and extreme boredom is now on the iPhone & iPod touch. Puzzles are created by users so they are always new and interesting. The goals is to guess the object or concept that the hint is referring to. You can also create your own puzzles. High scores are kept and you can also view how many times your created puzzles have been solved.
Puzzles are created by using a pictures and giving it a hint "iSpy Something Green". If the puzzle picture shows a tree then the answers could be "The Tree" or maybe "The Leaf". You can create your own puzzles for other users by taking a picture or using a saved image on your device and then entering a hint & answer.
StatDroid is used to analyze & synthesize stats on your device. The design of Statdroid is something that I have thought about for a long time. I always wanted to create apps for mobile devices, but there was never a solid platform that I thought I would enjoy. Flash Lite and The early Windows mobile was just no fun to me. So over the years I would think about how neat it would be to see all the info of a mobile device poured out into a neat clean UI.

I put together the look and feel of Velope as I was building the website.
This was a quick project working with Earth Care through my lady, who was the ED at the time.
Well, here is another design suggestion that I put together in a few hours just to give my brother and his company an idea of what they could be doing. Since they are only looking to update the content on their site, they shot down the idea of a complete renovation. Please see their current site (link below) for the many reasons why I suggested a new site when he asked me about the content.
They sold most if not all of the first 50 decks. Now they're back for round two... here are the ideas I was able to come up with.
(The one with the blue star will be next on the shelves.)
These are some early sketches of a site that could have been. I was curious as to what the layout possibilities were for a native american foundation that supports a cultural center and a museum. So I spent around eight hours finding out.
These are the layouts that I thought could work even though it was the first direction. I showed Ashley who
(at the time of this post) happens to be the development director. The foundation board eventually decided that they didnt need a site, and would piggy back on those of the museum and cultural center.
If you skate check'um out, if you dont skate check'um out, they have big plans. If its not your bag of chips, pass the link on. Good products, good mission.
Some work for a couple of friends of mine
A design direction for an in store kiosk. The goal was to create an interactive questionnaire that would gather data about the sleeper(s) so the Experience Bed could create an accurate recommendation for bed firmness and pillow size.
The Commissary was a site created by a University of Memphis professor (Lucas Charles) and I, which carried the goal of creating a design dialogue among design students in universities all of the country. Here is a early interface idea that I put together.

While digging through some of my old work, (most of it is well... amateur) I came across these. I seemed to enjoy them so I thought I would put them "up".
Design exploration with random content.
This was a small personal project which took a brief look at the importance of the transitional phases in a multidisciplinary project. The four phases that I became accustom to at the time were strategy, UX, design, and technology. I feel and have felt that there is not enough time calculated into these critical areas where communication is least efficient.
In my free time I try to contribute to places that I think could use design or development work. Even though this work was not received well by the individual I showed it to, I thought it was successful for my progress in design. Its amazing how awful the information in the original pdf is presented. I thought that anyone interested in finding out about this huge plan to end chronic homelessness in San Francisco would immediately be turned away by the lengthy presentation of text with no consideration of pace, and very little consideration of hierarchy.

A collection of images showing the battle between the city and the life that grows out through it.
This is simply an image and typography exploration
Commanding Content was a piece that I put together based on a series of images which contained what I considered "Commanding Content". Many of these images were of homeless individuals in various states throughout the city. Others seemed to capture the unique relationship between the city and the individuals who populate its streets, buildings, cable cars and parks. San Francisco is truly an experience that I would recommend to everyone; not to visit, but to become apart of it habitat for at least a year.
This is an old version of my resume that contained many of the images I was taking at the time.
Images and content about the sub-cultures and environments in San Francisco
The main goal of "Us We Them They" was to take hundreds of photos of people on Powell st in San Francisco to capture the diversity of life that strolls that street. During the process I was able to meet a homeless gentleman who (most often) goes by the name "Bone Head".
It was Christmas eve 2007 which proved to be a successful night of shooting, but was made a magnificent night by being able to have dinner with and take photos of this peaceful man. We talked and joked for hours about the stories he had to tell, and about his experiences in the heart of San Francisco. I would eventually make my way back home where I wrote a pretty lengthy account of my experience that night with Bone Head. A copy of that pdf will be available sometime soon.
